Here's the log.txt : OpenGL version 3.0 Mesa 10.3.0įailed to compile fragment shader. So, my game worked previously (linux), but now it crash on startup. Not sure if this solves the problem you're having, but it at least removed that filter and killed the lag for me, as far as I can tell. These are "minimum" options for the game, as I have a ridiculously bad computer and it wouldn't play without lag unless I had everything as low as I could. My options file, which was found in the "My Games" file in My Documents, under The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth: Īnd my config file which I made inside the "resources" file in the BoI's steam file: I used to get a ton of lag in there and after messing around with the config.ini file I made and the options.ini file in the save file, it seems to have gone away. I screwed with a lot of settings and I think I have that filter overtop of it disabled. Thus, proper and comprehensive support of Open GL 2.0 hardware may not be entirely possible since 2.0 was the first version which supported render-to-texture. While OpenGL 2.0 does support renter-to-texture, it’s not as robust as more recent versions. If you were to upgrade, these issues will go away. If you’re seeing The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth with white backgrounds, it’s due to video cards that don’t support Open GL 3.0 or higher. UPDATE: Soundtrack DLC is still not downloading, we are trying to sort it out.īackgrounds and other art missing, White-out We also fixed some minor gameplay related issues that I will not mention here in detail. Player being out of bounds after returning from BM It is now possible to turn of the auto-pause after the game window loses focus by setting PauseOnFocusLost=0 in the Options.ini.Ĭrash during two of the later boss fights We fixed the color correction, and disabled the shockwave effect on OS X for now. Players reported that OS X would show a black screen when either color correction was turned on or when a shockwave effect was being displayed in game. If you had already unlocked a lot of Steam achievements and don’t have them in your local save file anymore, you can restore them by pressing ALT + F2 (or just F2 for Mac/Linux players) on the Stats menu page. Your savegames will still be uploaded to the cloud when that setting is off, but your local savegames can’t be overwritten by cloud files anymore. If you still experience problems, you can now turn off Steam Cloud syncing by setting SteamCloud=0 in the Options.ini. The patched game has slightly more robust Steam Cloud handling and should do better. It didn’t happen to us during testing, and we think it might have something to do with how Steam Cloud is used in the game. To all the poor people who lost their saved games, we are incredibly sorry for that. It seems it only happened on machines that don’t support OpenGL 3.0. We sadly could not test this fix properly, because none of the PCs in our office have that problem. We worked around some OpenGL issues in the v1.01 build. To all the people who were not able to start the game at all: If you do not immediately get the update, try restarting your Steam client. Your game should show v1.01 on the title screen after the update.
